My house has gone through many changes in its lifetime. It started as a Traditional Galician stone house, home to a fisherman and his family and is now becoming LaCala Pilgrims Inn.
Restoring the Soul
La Cala Inn started its life as a small fisherman’s cottage. It is difficult to determine the age of the original building it could be anywhere from 100 to 300 years old.
As the fisherman’s family grew, so did the house. Throughout the decades it has been added on to and changed.
Floors were added, rooms were modified, windows were covered up and others were opened.
Finally, the house has found its way to me. After many months of blood, sweat and tears it is ready to take on its new incarnation as LaCala Pilgrims Inn.
